Where the setup goes

Whether the witness is in downtown Honolulu or a conference room in Kona, we bring the kit to the location. We feed the camera into the platform your firm already uses and record locally at full resolution. If your firm needs us to run the meeting instead, we have a Zoom license and can host from the room.

Making the room work for hybrid

Hybrid proceedings derail on feedback loops and hot-mic accidents during breaks. We route all remote communication through a Jabra Speak 2 75 conference unit, kept physically separate from the evidentiary mixer. Remote participants hear the room clearly, without the tabletop echo that makes a transcript harder to certify, and the master audio stays clean.

What happens if the internet drops

Compressed cloud recordings with variable frame rates are an evidentiary risk. Exhibit text turns unreadable and the witness's face degrades exactly when it matters. We record locally at full resolution on dedicated hardware. If the facility's connection drops, the proceeding goes off the record like any other break, and a fresh file starts when all parties agree to resume. The recording is made locally, so the connection can't degrade it.

Booking a remote depo

Same notice rules as an in-person job. Tell us the platform when you send the notice. If your firm is hosting, send the link when the job is confirmed so we can test the connection in advance. If we're hosting, we'll send the Zoom link when we schedule the job.

Hawaiʻi time and the mainland

Hawaiʻi doesn't observe daylight saving time, so the gap to the mainland changes twice a year. Put everyone's time zone on the notice.

In 2027, mainland clocks change again on November 7. Japan doesn't change its clocks either, so it's always 19 hours ahead of Hawaiʻi.
