We're a vendor, not a platform. Your case files are processed on hardware we own in Hawaiʻi. They're never sent to an outside AI provider or used to train anything, and they're deleted on the schedule you set, or after seven years if you don't set one. If your firm has an AI policy, this is built to fit it.
Page-line deposition summaries
A topical summary of the testimony, every point cited to page and line so you can check our work. $1 a page, 150-page minimum, back in two business days.
Witness contradiction matrix
Every statement in the files you send, lined up against the others: depositions, prior testimony, declarations. Where they diverge you get both passages side by side with citations, so you can decide whether it's a real inconsistency or a bad question.
Semantic case search
Coming soon. Search your case documents by meaning, not keyword. Ask what the witness said about the shift change and get the answer, whether the transcript says shift change, turnover, or when we swapped out.
Interpreter audit
We compare the interpreter's English against the original-language audio and flag passages that may have been omitted or changed, for a qualified interpreter to confirm.

The transcript has the words. It doesn't have the witness.
A transcript records what was said, not how it was said, and demeanor is what a jury weighs. Video keeps it, and the tools above make both faster to work through.
Transcript alone

The recording everything else depends on.
Akamai is run by Andrew Graves, who recorded about 2,000 depositions in the Bay Area and Sacramento before moving to Hawaiʻi. The standard is the same on every island: set up an hour early, two recorders running, masters imaged and hashed the same day.
In-person depositions
One camera on the witness, two independent recorders, matched timecode. A clean audio mix feeding the record, with the room miked for intelligibility rather than atmosphere. Setup is done and tested before the first person walks in. Master cards are forensically imaged (E01) and every file is SHA-256 hashed.
Remote and hybrid depositions
Full-resolution recording on our end rather than a compressed cloud capture, so exhibit text is readable and the witness is legible. Hybrid rooms get a Jabra Speak 2 75 conference unit so remote participants stay intelligible without the tabletop echo that turns a certified transcript into guesswork.
Transcript sync
Forced alignment done here, not through a public API. We process the audio while the transcript is being certified, so sync comes back soon after the ASCII arrives, with load files for TrialDirector, Sanction, and the rest.
Trial presentation editing
Clips cut to your page and line designations, precise redactions, and audio muting. We prepare the material; you run the room.

Schedule
Send the notice through the scheduling form or to calendar@akamailegalvideo.com. We handle the local logistics (travel, parking, room access) and arrive with the kit the proceeding needs.

Capture
We're neutral on the record, with two recorders running. Master cards are imaged to E01 the same day, before the media leaves our hands.

Process
Transcripts are synchronized and indexed on hardware we own in Hawaiʻi. Nothing is uploaded to an outside AI provider at any stage.

Deliver and archive
Trial-ready MP4s, PDFs, and load files on a password-protected link. Masters are retained with their hash manifests and timestamp receipts.

Redaction
PII and PHI removed from PDFs on our own hardware, with the text underneath stripped, not just covered. We check every batch before it goes back to you, and we'll sign a BAA when your matter needs one.
Subpoenas
Subpoenas served on businesses and medical offices, and records retrieved in person.
Notary and apostille
Mobile notary in Kona and South Kona, plus Hawaiʻi apostilles through the Lt. Governor's office, returned by tracked USPS Priority Mail.
Legacy media
VHS tapes, DVDs, and VIDEO_TS folders converted to MP4s that play in trial software, hashed so the copy can be verified.
Legal aid and pro bono
Verified 501(c)(3) legal aid organizations and pro bono matters get a permanent 25% reduction on all billable services. Out-of-pocket expenses are excluded.

Keep the agency you already use.
Many Hawaiʻi firms let their court reporting agency choose the videographer. That still works: ask yours to assign Akamai, or book us directly.
We arrive early and set up before the room fills. The reporter gets a clean direct feed if they want one, arranged quietly and without a production conversation in front of the witness.
At the end of the day we hand over a high-fidelity backup audio file. Nobody plans to need it. It exists so a cough over a case number doesn't become a guess in the certified transcript.
